Please support the important activities of the Byrd Center. There are several funds described below to which you might make a contribution. To make an online donation, please click on the fund of interest below:

Ice Core Facilities Renovation | Fund Number: 315627

Our current ice storage freezers maintain the collection of ice cores recovered from glaciers around the world at –30ºF. These freezers have been in operation since 1989 and are currently at capacity. A recent feasibility study conducted by SHP Leading Design recommends renovation of the existing freezers as well as the phased addition of 4 freezers that will utilize more modern technologies and efficiencies. This will help OSU meet its sustainability goals while supporting world class research. Directed by Drs. Lonnie G. Thompson and Ellen Mosley-Thompson.

State Climatology Office of Ohio (SCOO) | Fund Number 315327

This fund supports the climate communication capabilities, information services, education and outreach, and research of the State Climate Office of Ohio, a collaborative venture of the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center and OSU Department of Geography. Directed by Dr. Bryan Mark.
