The AGU Outstanding Student Presentation Award is a prestigious award that is only granted to the top 5% of student participants. The Byrd Center is pleased to recognize two students, Michalea King and Kira Haris, for each winning this award at the AGU 2019 Fall Meeting in San Francisco last December.

Congratulations to Michalea King, a Ph.D. student in Earth Sciences working in the Byrd Center's Glacier Dynamics group for winning an AGU Fall Meeting Outstanding Student Presentation Award for her talk " Large scale impacts of surface melt on ice sheet dynamics: Empirical evidence of outlet glacier sensitivity to late-season melt events in Greenland."
